Abstract

The aim of this paper is to determine whether there is
a difference in motor skills between boys and girls at the
age of 13 and 14 years. The study included 410 subjects of
which 200 girls and 210 boys mean age 13,65±0,64 years.
The sample comprised students who belong to the urban
area of? territorial Sisak and Moslavina County. The
sample of variables in this study consisted of 15 tests of
motor abilities and 3 morphological characteristics (body
height, body mass and body mass index). Boys were taller
and heavier at the age of 13 as well as at 14. The results
show that boys are significantly better (p <0.05) at both
ages in the area of coordination, explosive strength,
repetitive strength, and while at the age of 13 the
frequency of simple movement was similar, at the age of
14 boys become better, especially in the test foot tapping
against wall. The girls dominated in the area of flexibility
in both age categories
