Abstract

Odnedavno se istražuje mogućnost primjene jestivih biljaka, koje inhibiraju probavljanje i apsorpciju masti, u liječenju hiperlipidemije. Svrha je ovoga rada bila ispitati učinkovitost devet jestivih biljaka u inhibiciji pankreatične lipaze i kolesterol esteraze, sprečavanju stvaranja kolesterolnih micela te vezanja žučnih kiselina. Rezultati pokazuju da esktrakt dudova lišća izrazito inhibira pankreatičnu lipazu i micelizaciju kolesterola. Ekstrakt šafrana je najjači inhibitor pankreatične kolesterol esteraze, a ekstrakti biljke Ortosiphon aristatus i šafrana najviše su vezali žučne kiseline. Preporučuje se dnevni unos tih jestivih biljaka radi sprečavanja hipertriacilglicerolemije i hiperkolesterolemije, te prevencije i liječenja hiperlipidemije.
