Abstract

The aim of this research was to establish sensory integration of autistic pupils. The sample consisted of 27 participants of both gender from the Center for Autism – Zagreb. The system for evaluating and establishing dysfunctional sensory integration (Viola, 2002) (translation and adaptation prepared for the standardization, Fulgosi-Masnjak, Osmančević, Lang, 2004.) was applied in
the research at two time periods (initial and final).
Due to the established difficulties relating to sensory integration, an individualized support program for sensory integration was developed for each participant. The integration was conducted by program leaders and rehabilitation education throughout the duration of the school year. Statistically significant results were obtained between the initial and final results, which is to the advantage of the efficiency in applying individualized programs for sensory integration of autistic children.
