Abstract

This article intends to determine the attitude that pupils in primary school have toward mathematics. The paper presents the results of a research that was conducted on a sample of students from first to fourth grade. Students examine the attitude toward mathematical content, methods of work in their classes and the fears and prejudice toward mathematics. The results showed that pupils in primary school do not consider mathematics to be a difficult subject, they are interested in working actively in the classrom and have no significant fear of mathematics, which lays a good foundation for efficient and successful mathematics education.
