Abstract

Changes in behaviour and abilities that occur along with the advancing
development have always been focal areas of interest of mankind. Descriptions of
child behaviour as well as causes and processes inducing changes in behaviour are
subjects of child psychology. Many psychologists have researched changes in behaviour
and abilities in each phase of child development and sought to explain why the
behaviour changes. In describing a case study of the development of one boy, this
paper attempts to explain and compare the sociocultural theory of cognitive development
of Lav Vygotsky, the ecological systems theory of Urie Bronfenbrenner and the
mediated learning experience by Reuven Feuerstein.
