Abstract

Corn vegetation expressed in growing degree days (GDD) is usually calculated for
the period from planting to specific grain moisture content at harvest, and rarely from
planting to physiological maturity (PM), which is recognized by the development of
"black layer" at the base of the grain. The aim of this study was to determine GDD for
