Abstract

Buildings within castles in continental Croatia have always had roofs due to climatic conditions. However, not many roofs have survived. The most important elements of a roof structure are: roof plan, static concept, building materials, roof pitch and covering. The roof structure of Veliki Tabor palace is the best preserved one dating from the early 16th century.
