Abstract
Modular curriculum of training firms was designed to meet the requirements of contemporary teaching strategies focusing on student’s knowledge, skills and attitudes and simultaneously taking into consideration the demands of a modern business world and labour market. This paper will define the key elements of the most relevant competences important to every successful entrepreneur. It will also offer the ways of achieving and evaluating those competences by using interactive teaching methods within the modular curriculum. Furthermore, the paper will show that the modular approach enables systematic acquisition and evaluation of skills and knowledge needed to complete the tasks aimed at linking the theoretical to practical work. Apart from that, the paper will demonstrate some of the evaluation techniques that ensure the clear and direct feedback on the students’ achievements and increase the students’ awareness of their own abilities, progress and the value of their work. All of the stated will be supported by the example of a good practice using the model of evaluating and self-evaluating the students’ achievements within the modular curriculum of training firms.
