Abstract

Information systems are nowadays of key importance for the functioning of every organisation. The most important function of every information system is its information support. This paper develops an information support model and examines the influence
of information system quality and of information gained from it on efficiency, perception of usefulness and satisfaction of the users of this system. Six hypotheses determined based on this model are proved by using a multivariate regression analysis. Results show a significant influence of information support and information quality on dependent variables, i.e. on efficiency, perception of usefulness and user satisfaction. The obtained results indicate that quality of information has the most significant influence on user satisfaction.
Multivariate regression analysis has provided the best results in the process of examining this hypothesis. This paper proves that efficiency, perception of usefulness and satisfaction are greatly influenced by information support system quality and information quality as the most important by-product of an information system.
