Abstract
Microreactors are reactor systems developed in microscopic scale, and because of their high interface area they have advantages when compared to classic – macroreactor systems. Selection of materials for microreactor production depends on the reaction type, material and solvent compatibility, mechanical requirements, price and market availability. The most commonly used materials are different types of glass, ceramics, metals and polymers. Manufacturing processes depend on the material, and the most popular processes are etching, lithography, sandblasting, machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing.
