Abstract

The exhibition with its catalogue OMNIBUS: Neven Šegvić is a part of the project conceived with the aim to mark the 100th
anniversary of Neven Šegvić’s birth. It is a story about life and work of the professor and architect whose professional and academic career at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb left an indelible trace on the 20th
century Croatian architecture. In the OMNIBUS prof. Nenad Fabijanić fully recognizes and affirms the continuity of his teacher and successfully presents one of the most important aspects of Šegvić’s work: an uninterrupted flow of knowledge and experience from the teacher to his students. The impressions that he collected are presented in the exhibition and the accompanying catalogue. A spatial composition of weightless horizontal line, complex in its simplicity, filled with the impressions of twenty-three Omnibus participants, is publicly presented on the third floor of the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb. Arranged in an everyday student setting, the exhibition provides a meaningful experience. The concept of the catalogue complemented by graphic contributions and texts faithfully reflects the entire project and presents participants’ individual interpretations.
