Abstract

The publication entitled ”Zadar 2020 – the City and its Hinterland” is the product of the first Interdisciplinary Summer School organized by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb and the Department of Tourism and Communication Studies of the University of Zadar, headed by prof. dr.sc. Tihomir Jukić, dr.sc. Božena Krce Miočić, assistant professor, and prof. dr.sc. Feđa Vukić. Twenty-four students from various fields took part in summer school sessions in Autumn 2016 at the University of Zadar. They produced preliminary designs for the revitalization of Zadar’s hinterland (Ravni kotari and Bukovica). The school also presented new forms of connections between the city and its hinterland with the aim to raise greater awareness of the need to perceive space as an integral whole.
