Abstract

The new documentary series “A Dot Over A” was made “with the aim to raise social awareness of the importance of space that surrounds us and in which we live as well as to promote and publicly present the ideas and works of the Croatian architects”. This praiseworthy and audacious project aimed at presenting the architects whose approaches and ideas almost as a rule result in spatial interventions that, regardless of the type, scale, purpose or budget, fundamentally improve the environments. The TV series consists of twelve episodes that take us on a journey across Croatia to meet the authors whose works, according to the opinion of the Expert Council of the Society of Croatian Architects, may be singled out in terms of an overall quality in concept and execution. Their works have been regularly presented on three annual exhibitions of the Society - in 2014, 2015, and 2016. The series was shot in 2018 by an independent producer Project 6 Studio from Zagreb. In each episode the architects talk about their projects but the director also interviews their colleagues, collaborators, investors, and end users.
