Abstract

The paper will considering how nonprofit marketing and other tools can be utilized to better represent the library in the community. The purposes of this paper is to demonstrate the importance of the Public library in the community. As a place where all library patrons can access needed information, public libraries play an essential role of educating, informing and continuously developing its patrons. Results of the conducted survey reveal how marketing activities of the Public and University library Osijek impact the image of the library in the media. The survey included the analysis of the historical articles from the local newspaper “Glas Slavonije” which featured Public and University library Osijek, throughout the course of the past 18 years.
