Abstract
In this paper, several variables reflecting efficient eaching in studies dealing with the climate of the class, functions and meanings of teacher interventions, are described. Among teacher's interventions managerial functions, content interventions and functions of feedback are discussed. Some variables for assessment of students behavior, such as student activity time, time spent in position and managerial episodes and non-productive time, are mentioned. Also some suggestions as to changing teacher's behavior are proposed. It is proposed to decrease negative intervention rate, to provide students with more feedback and positive reinforcement, create a more confident climate in the classroom and decrease managerial time in order to increase teaching effectiveness.
