Abstract

In this article a thorough textological analysis is made of the newly discovered recapitulatory Southern Slavonic translation of the treatise...by St Symeon of Thessalonica. The analysis is based on a collation between the Slavonic and the Greek texts on the one hand, and between the two known transcripts of the article in RGADA 88 and Bogishich 52 on the other hand. The aim is to find the textual differences and possible discrepancies between them (omissions, additions, transpositions, repetitions, ets.), to highlight their common characteristics and individual features, to determine for which variants there is a good reason in the Greek text, or which alter its meaning.
