Abstract

This paper presents different software programs used in the production of a control board stand used to drive the Trumpf press. The presented approach uses different software programs for: strain energy evaluation, sheet metal preparation purposes, and the creation of NC programs. Different forming technologies were investigated in order to obtain the most appropriate control board stand parts. USt 13 (DIN 1623 T1) steel, i.e. DC 01 (EN 10130 –Cold Rolled Steel Sheet and Strip for Cold Forming) was used as the production material. The friction coefficient appearing in this research and the material flow curve (in the form of a power relationship expressed as the Hollomon-Ludwik's law) have been determined experimentally.
