Abstract

This article presents a review of media policies, as a part of a broader project Monitoring the EU Accession Process, conducted by the Institute Open Society from Budapest. As a part of a numerous integrational minorities programs concrete instruments and measures, as a part of candidate countries Government media policy on their way to the EU, in approving the position and the perception of the minorities ina society, are mentioned. Report presented in this article analyzes the realization of the programs in Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia, Hungary and Poland.
