PROTECTED ECOSYSTEMS IN THE COUNTY OF KOPRIVNICA-KRIŽEVCI AND POSSIBILITIES FOR THEIR URILIZATION

Abstract
The paper gives a review of the parts of nature protected by law in the county of Koprivnica-Križevci. There are fourteen areas and buildings in n the county protected by the law of nature protection (N.N. no. 70/05). Inventory of the condition of protected locations and other natural resources is made by studying available literature and guidelines for further managing of these special natural resources are established. Due to the nearby gas and oil exploitation facilities, a permanent monitoring of toxic contaminations for the most endangered areas of Bilogora and Podravina (Forest reserve Dugačko brdo, pound ecosystem Čambina, park of nature Repaš, monument of nature Zovje) is recommended.
