Abstract

The paper presents the relations of the deterministic character of the adjustment problem developed on linear algebra foundations in the finite dimensional vector spaces considering the four fundamental subspaces of the matrix theory. A case of the column rank defect of the configuration matrix has been solved by the singular value decomposition method (DSV). The adjustment using the DSV method has been done in regard to the least squares theory and, in the case of a generalized inverse, in regard to the Moor-Penrose inverse conditions. Orthogonal projections of the measurements vector were done by orthogonal projectors. A numerical example is given.
