Abstract

In her paper, the author presents, explains and analyses the implementation of the outcomes from the history curriculum through an optional topic: "The heroines of science: women in science of the 20th and the 21st century". It shows how, through a school project, project and research lessons, appropriate outcomes can be realized in the high school fourth grade within the domain: "Science and technology" (outcome POV SŠ C.4.1. The student evaluates the development of technology and inventions that changed human life in the 20th and the 21st century) and within the domain "Philosophical-religious-cultural area" (outcome POV SŠ E.4.1. The student assesses human creativity in the 20th and the 21st century). It highlights the historical skills and technical concepts that are used to reach the outcomes from the mentioned optional topic and it influences the development of critical thinking.
