Abstract

This paper deals with the application of drone technology in delivery activities in northwestern Croatia. Drones, ie unmanned aerial vehicles, are a relatively new technology that brings with it considerable possibilities. One of the possibilities that drones provide is the possibility of delivering goods and products to drones in the last mile of delivery. The use of drones in the last mile of delivery is becoming more widespread, so this paper will present the possibilities provided by such a service and the potential for improving delivery (higher speed and accuracy, lower price, etc.) in northwestern Croatia. Logistics and delivery are concepts that are closely related to the topic of using drones in the last mile of delivery, so the text presents the results of the research conducted in the form of a sample survey of 1,173 of what 830 respondents are from northwestern Croatia. The goal of this work is the analysis of the thematic area and preparation for future research in the field of the application of drones in the delivery of goods and products in other parts of the Republic of Croatia.
