Abstract
This paper presents the prototype housing modeling process for a Driver Control Computer (DCC)
within the BusCARD 4.0 IoT project, aimed at developing an innovative integrated device for public
transport vehicles. The housing provides mechanical and environmental protection for sensitive
electronics while ensuring functional integration of all required components. The paper describes
the application of Autodesk Fusion 360 for parametric 3D model creation, analyzes the internal
components the housing must accommodate, details the design process from initial sketch to final
model, and presents the preparation and execution of FDM (Fused deposition modeling) 3D printing
using a Creality Ender-3 Max Neo printer for rapid prototyping. Results demonstrate that combining
parametric CAD (Computer-aided design) modeling with rapid prototyping enables efficient iterative
validation of design solutions prior to injection molding production. The presented approach can serve
as a methodological framework for housing development of similar multifunctional devices intended
for demanding operational environments.
