Abstract

This paper deals with the cognitive presumptions of migrations - on the example of researching some cognitive presumptions of migrations of young people from Croatia to other Europian countries. It analyses differentiation of Europe regarding residental desirability, studies the area perceived as Europe and researches the elements of attraction of various European countries as migration destinations. The research is based on the sample of 823 respondants. It covers the high grade students of 13 secondary schools of different profiles (gymnasium, nursing school, technical school, musical school etc.) in four largest macroregional centres of Croatia.
