Abstract

In the theory of series of real numbers, the harmonic series serves as one of the simplest and the most illustrative examples when studying the problem of the convergence of infinite series. Divergence of this series, despite the fact that its general term tends to zero, leads us to the question: "Which terms of the harmonic series should be removed such that the resulting series is convergent?''. We consider convergence of the generalized harmonic series, sum of the reciprocals of the primes, and the convergence of Kempner series.
