Sažetak
The aim, of the investigation was to confirm, in our conditions, contents of solids-non-fat (SNF) in milk of healthy cows and their variation from farm, to dairy. It is proved that SNF in milk of some cows attended 8.93±0.27, bucket milk from individual dairy farmers at the collection points 8.63±0.56, and milk samples taken from cistern at dairy reception 8.65±0.21. The results showed decreasing of SNF in milk from farm to dairy owing to added water. In samples of bulk milk from large farms SNF was of 8.48±0.34. The cause of the low SNF amounts was water added probably at the time of pushing milk through pipe-line at the end of machine milking. The investigation data of milk samples taken from cows with subclinical mastitis showed SNF contents 7.87±0.54. The results of the investigation showed that the difference in contents SNF in milk was due to added water and health of the udder.
