Sažetak

Chronic pain syndroma in patients with osteoporosis is speciphyc moment for analgetic treatment as wlll as complete clinical treatment of osteoporosis. It is no need for completeanalgesia, on the contrary, it could be a „vitium artis“ because pain is the „safe treshold or allarm“ when to stop applaying the following kinesiotherapy. It cold be a great risc for osteoporotic fractures if some patient loose „pain trashold of movement“ in medicine gimnastic.
The origin of pain in osteoporosis is unknown distribution is wide and nonspeciphic and spreds through wide theritory of the body by myotomas and sclerotemas. With all of these characteristic osteoporotic pain is a part of clinical aspect of osteoporotis syndroma. Thus the principles of pain treatment with electric therapy is very important and have a special role in analgesia in osteoporosis. Electric therapy and analgetic currents are inexpensive, without side effects for long-term use and especially transcoutaneus electric nerve stimulation (TENS) with wide analgetic indications for different causes and origins of pain. In the western Europe and USa analgesia is pointed „wia medicaments“ by oral or intravenous pathway and has a bigger market and financial effect fo profit, thus the electric therapy with analgetic curents are still on the side door of analgesia treatment. But patients treated with TENS demonstrate improvement in number of outcome variables that include reduced therapy and medication use, increased activities, and improved treatment satisfaction, all that contribute to an improved qulity of life. In our clinical practiec we use interferrent currents (IFC) or Nemetz Current (NC), TENS ant their combination, and finally modulated currents in treatment of pain syndroma in patients with osteoporosis. Their application is more than usefull, and beyond that which can be explained by placebo. Duration and differences in application depense on every patient individualy.
