Sažetak

During the three years’ investigations of the mycoflora of Gorski Kotar, a total of 282 species was determined. In the first table in the Croatian text (p. 22) the upper numeral indicates the total number of species found during the year, and the lower the number of those found only in this particular year. Only 60 of these species were found every year. A list of fungi which appeared in specially large quantities in 1963. (a very rich year for fungi) is then given (p. 22). Common species in this region are also listed, those with an asterisk being particularly numerous (p. 22). Then follows a list of species found in these parts, which are generally rare or less well known (p.23). A table with the number of species according to the months (analogous to the first table) is then presented (p. 23), together with a list of fungi found only in spring.
In the second part of the paper, the vegetation cover of the territory investigated is briefly described. Excluding the fungi growing on hardwoods — »Na drvu listača« (mostly beech) and softwoods — »Na drvu četinjača« (mostly fir), which are given in a separate list (p. 25), a table is presented where the species found in the forest associations Blechno- Abietetum and Fagetum abietetosum, in mixed woods (third column) and at the edges of woods and forests, in glades or under solitary trees (fourth column) are compared (p. 26). Lists of fungi growing in some other forest associations, which were investigated to a lesser degree, and also in meadows, are added (p. 29 and 30).
Most of the fungi were found in Blechno-Abietetum, which develops on acid soils; those growing also in Fagetum abietetosum were much more numerous in the first association. Some species grew also on the border line of both associations, and it is not certain whether they really belong to the association to which they were assigned, so the question mark is added. A great many species prosper at the edges of woods, probably (according to Vrtar, in litt.) because of the more favourable humidity.
Finally the edible and poisonous fungi found in this region are discussed.
