Sažetak
PRIMADUR (Bc TD 3201/92) and BODUR (Bc TD 3200/92) are the first Croatian durum winter wheat varieties (Triticum durum Desf.), intended for pasta production. They were registered in 1997 and 1998 respectively, based on three-year testings (1994-1996, and 1995-1997) in trials by the Committee for Registration, Approval and Protection of Agricultural Crops of the Republic of Croatia. Both varieties possess high yielding potential ranging above 6000 kg/ha, which is quite high for durum varieties in comparison with the aestivum wheats. Average grain yield of Primadur in three-year trials of the Commitee (1994-1996) was 5006 kg/ha (Sana 6708 kg/ha,Žitarka 6158 kg/ha, and Demetra 6025 kg/ha), which is 74.62% relative to Sana, 81 .29% relative to Žitarka, and 83.03% relative to Demetra. For Bodur, average grain yield in three-year trials (1995-1997) was 5006 kg/ha (Sana 6756 kg/ha, Žitarka 6310 kg/ha, Demetra 6282 kg/ha, Divana 6043 kg/ha), which is 74.09% relative to Sana, 79.33% relative to Žitarka, 79.68% relative to Demetra, and 82.83% relative to Divana. They have good resistance to low temperatures. By the length of vegetation period they belong to a group of mid-early to mid-late varieties, depending on the year and the conditions of growing. Average plant height of Primadur was 79.0 cm, and that of Bodur 76.1cm. Thanks to their height and stalk strength they have a good resistance to lodging. They show quite high resistance degree to mayor fungal diseases, especially those affecting spikes (Fusarium spp. and Septoria spp.), to which durum varieties are considerably more susceptible than the aestivum wheats. In 1996 Primadur performed well in 1000-kernel dry matter weight and hectoliter weight. Good results were also obtained in protein content, flour yield and especially water absorption. In 1997, Bodur gave good results in 1000-kernel dry matter weight, water absorption, quantity of ash and wet gluten content. Optimal sowing date is October 10-30. Sowing rate is 500, or 550 viable kernels/m².
