Sažetak

Dr. Rudolf Steiner (1861st to 1925th) was a major figure of the past century, and he left behind a considerable scope of scientifically anthroposophic work of very broad spectrum. He was born in Donji Kraljevec, located in Medjimurje in Croatia. He was a philosopher, educator, writer, and founder of anthroposophy. He dealt with many fields of human activity such as education through Waldorf education, biodynamic agriculture, performing arts through eurhythmics, fine arts, sculpture, painting, architecture and medicine. He found also the methods of health pedagogy, anthroposophic medicine, design of speech and organic architecture. The aim of this research paper is to prove how the principles of dr. Rudolf Steiner's phylosophy can be seen as lifelong learning and can lead to development of entrepreneurship in tourism which is very desirable, because sustainable development of entrepreneurship in the sphere of tourism in the municipality of Donji Kraljevec can only bring multiple benefits to the local population, and the wider community. Tourist destination represents the reason for travel while tourism goods generate sequentially tourism spending. This research paper utiliezed primary and secondary data sources. From secondary data sources authors determined the definitions of the necessary concepts of Dr. Steiner's teaching and phylosophy. Authors applied qualitative method of primary research to come up with the necessary data on which to make conclusions and appropriate decisions for the future development of tourism businesses, and thus the development of tourist destinations. Qualitative method was applied by conducting interviews with Head of Office Tourist Board of Međimurje County and director of Center dr. Rudolf Steiner in Gorican. Other methods used in this reserach paper are quantitative method, analyzis and observation method. Quantitative method was applied through distribution survey which was placed on the pages of Facebook and sent to the official address of 313 Waldorf institutions in Croatia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Responses received were 306. Collected data were analyzed and interpreted. Findings indicate that lifelong learning and a variety of workshops on Waldorf pedagogy and biodynamic food production can be a solid foundation for the development of tourism businesses in the area of the birth of dr. Rudolf Steiner.
