Sažetak

The islet of Palagruža, located at the very centre of the Adriatic, yielded unusually rich pottery and lithic finds from the 3rd millennium BC. Prominent among them is archery equipment (arrow points and wristguards), as well as richly decorated Cetina-style pottery. During a period marked by mobility and maritime connectivity among distant regions, ancient mariners would have recognized the unique navigational importance of Palagruža. Deposition of choice items at this desolate and remote lo- cation represents an archaeologically visible trace of that recognition.
