Sažetak

In this article we present several mathematical problems formulated on a chess board. After the description of history of chess, we explain the rules, figure traversals and the goal of the game.
Next, we state, in terms of the chess board, various mathematical problems in order to entice student’s interest to solved them. In this regard, solutions to certain of these problems are given, while the others are left to the reader.
