Sažetak
The publication offers a review of Matko Peić’s artistic work and of his heritage that is presently kept in the City Museum of Požega, which is at the same time preparation for a more comprehensive research into his work as a painter and art pedagogue. Apart from a short analysis of his continuous, lifelong interest for visual art, the fact that he identified himself with Požega is especially emphasised. His constant references to Požega and its cultural potential confirm that he considered it an exceptional cultural centre.
