The toponymy of Kraljevica

Sažetak
This paper deals with 165 toponyms from the area of Kraljevica. The toponymic
corpus was collected through field research and through the analysis of archival,
bibliographic, and cartographic sources. All the data are presented on three
toponymic maps (KR1 – western sector, KR2 – eastern sector, KR3 – urban area)
and described, with sources indicated, in an equal number of toponymic tables.
The introductory section provides an overview of the socio-historical, economic,
cultural, and demographic processes that shaped the toponymy of Kraljevica,
along with a brief description of the local dialect. The central part consists of a
semantic and motivational classification of the toponyms. The paper includes toponymic maps and tables, as well as an alphabetical index of toponyms to facilitate
easier reference.
