Sažetak

As a sing of respect and gratefulness to the author of our first maritime Dictionary, this supplement suggests an etymology for a few unsolved maritime terms used along our coastline from Istria to the south of Dalmatia. The following terms are analysed: 1) tÅga (a room or flat on veseel deck), 2) primà (place for rower in a half-decked one-masted fishing boat), 3) stŸl (elegant line of a vessel), 4) radòs, 5) ràgenta (net string), 6) tàmbuć (aperture on deck), 7) vènat (rope), 8) zimbl (knitted basket for tools), 9) ràdanča (zinc-coated ring on sail corner), 10) sakalŸva (a kind of large net), 11) penis (a worker who helps at loading and sorting cargo).
