Sažetak

Any discussion of the possibilities of modern moral definement occurs, above all, within the context of the general status of individuals in the modern civil world. This status is characterised by the multiplicity of the identity, or the differentiated quality of the reality of a civil individual, which is displayed through the political, le- gal, economic, moral, religious, etc., domains of manifestation. In other words, we are dealing with identities, which are simultaneous, and relatively independent even in the State of mutual interweavement, which implies their inner coordination, but also their possible confrontation and mutual negation. As a consequence, the moral identity of a civil individual is only one of his/her immanent identities, and, as such, it stands in a complex ‘game of mediation’ with the other, just as legitimate, identities of the modern subject.
Within this context, this paper aims to investigate the status of the modern moral phenomenon in relation to the complex mechanisms of mediation of active wills, interests and trends, such as the domains of the political, the legal, and the economic.
