Sažetak

Indroduction: Menopause is a natural, integral and inevitable part of every woman's life. It is undoubtedly a major milestone that carries with it numerous physical, psychological and emotional changes that can be greatly alleviated if it starts on prevention time.
Aim: To examine the influence of the physical activity and body mass on women's difficulties in menopause.
Methods: The study included 170 women in the menopausal age of 45 to 60 years. The research was conducted anonymously, and as a survey instrument a questionnaire was used that contained 55 questions. Category data are represented by absolute and relative frequencies.
Results: On the basis of the research conducted, we can conclude that almost half of the subjects are overweight, and a quarter of them are obese. In the aspect of physical activity at work, there is a considerably greater activity among the subjects living in the village (Mann Whitney U test, P = 0,04) with under-pay income (Kruskal Wallis test, P = 0,006). In the domains of physical activity in sports and in leisure time much greater activity is among the subjects living in the city (Mann Whitney U test, P = 0,02). Generally speaking, the most pronounced are vasomotor problems with the subjects, while the least pronounced are psychosocial ones. The subjects who are exposed to greater physical activity at work have more pronounced psychosocial and sexual problems, while those who are more exposed to physical activity in sports have more pronounced vasomotor problems. Also, those who are more engaged in physical activity in their spare time have less pronounced psychosocial, physical and sexual problems while their quality of life is significantly better.
Conclusion: The results of the research have shown us the need to encourage and involve women of all age groups in some form of sporting activity, the right time for this being immediately, because only in a timely manner we ensure the prevention of many menopausal disorders and thus profit the better quality of their lives.
