Teaching homeland history in cooperation with museum institutions on the example of the school project “My city in a museum”

Sažetak
Mountaineering Museum Ivanec was founded in 1917, although it is still without a permanent collection open for public. The historical group from the primary school Ivan Kukuljević Sakcinski in Ivanec has started creating and designing activities in the museum through its project “My city in a museum”. Thanks to this, the museum has become the place where both lower and higher classes of primary education can carry out their curriculum aims. This paper presents activities conducted throughout the school year 2018/2019 and gives guidelines for teaching homeland history in other environments, too.
