Veterinary public health in poultry meat production and processing

Sažetak
Croatia has a long tradition of poultry rearing. The development of broiler rearing required the improvement of slaughterhouse processing and, gradually, of meat processing into a large variety of meat products and halfready meals. The task of the veterinary public health is the control of zoonosis, the control of poultry meat and meat products, the protection of poultry well-being and veterinary ecology during poultry production, slaughterhouse processing and poultry meat processing, all in accordance with the Croatian legislation.
