Abstract
In 2017, the Rusmarin Association from Stomorska on the island of Šolta published a booklet titled The Cookery Book of Our Grandmothers (Kuvarica naših nona). The collection comprises traditional recipes characteristic of Stomorska, the island of Šolta, and the surrounding region. This valuable publication promotes the Mediterranean diet while preserving the traditions of a small settlement on Šolta; its significance is the greater by its having been written entirely in the local dialect of Stomorska. The present article analyses the linguistic features of the text across all four linguistic levels, placing them within the broader framework of the contemporary Stomorska dialect and other Šolta local dialects.
