Abstract

Theoretically speaking, the Internet and Web 2.0 technologies, as the most significant technological phenomena of our time provide hospitality operators with completely new competitive opportunities. The Internet provides companies with a range of support functions and processes to develop products and provide quality services for tourists. The aim of this paper is to identify a number of models that measure, with more or less success, the quality of services offered by hotel websites. Based on information obtained by the methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, and the survey method, we obtained quantitative results that demonstrate the level of quality of web sites on a selected sample of hotels. Based on the results obtained, it is possible to improve planning, implementation and control of marketing strategies on the Croatian hospitality market via Internet, primarily by evaluating the quality of web sites.
