Abstract

Tis paper examined the psychometric properties of the Serbian version of a multicultural personality inventory (Multicultural Personality Questionnaire – MPQ). Te sample consisted of 329 student teachers. Te revised version of the questionnaire to the Serbian language consists of 91 items that evaluate fve constructs that are assumed to underlie multicultural personality: cultural empathy, openness, emotional stability, social initiative and flexibility. For four of the fve scales showed a high internal consistency, with alpha coefcients over 0.80, indicating good reliability of the revised version of the instrument. Principal components analysis resulted in četvorofaktorskim solution that explains 33.4% of the variance. Tis structure is supported by the analysis of the intercorrelation subscale. Te paper discussed the possibility of using this instrument in the study of efciency in a multicultural educational context.
