Sažetak
The People’s Committee of the Rovinj urban municipality founded the company »Utovar - istovar« Rovinj (Loading - Unloading Rovinj) in 1952, whose activities encompassed loading, unloading and reloading of various goods in the port and at the railway station, as well as the loading, unloading and transport of goods. The financial assets of the liquidated »Gradsko prijevozno poduzeće« (Municipal Transport Company) were transferred to the new Company. The Company was set up to provide transportation services, that is, transport operations, port unloading and loading operations, railway loading and unloading operations and administration operations. Administration operations included tasks of a personal and legal nature. The allocation of tasks was carried out by the company managing director, taking into account the proper and normal functioning of the company. The Company’s managing bodies were the Workers’ Council, the Board of Directors and the Managing Director. The fonds contains files relating to corporate documentation, rules concerning organization and operations, rules concerning employment relations and tariffs, minutes of meetings of the Workers’ Council and the Board of Directors, and financial files. The following series were formed accordingly: document records, organization and management, company plans, finances, and union branch. The majority of the files relate to general tasks and include documentation related to business planning, statistical data and instructions from higher authorities directing and regulating the Company’s operations. Five series were formed. At the lowest level, within series and subseries, the files are arranged chronologically by year, and within years by date. According to the merger balance sheet from 1962, it was concluded that the business of the company »Utovar-istovar« was acquired by the Komunalno poduzeće Rovinj (Rovinj public utility company). The Rovinj Municipal Assembly handed over the archives to the Historical Archives - Pazin, today the State Archives in Pazin, together with other archival material in 1972. A summary inventory was produced in 2022.
