Sažetak

This paper starts from the assertion that curriculum represents a strategic issue of every educational system and every schooling. The operationalization of curriculum is provided, as well as the analysis of syllabus as the most important component of curriculum and of purposefulness as its basic determinant. The determinants and pedagogical paradigms of curriculum construction for high and vocational schools are discussed. The last part of the paper contains a description of scientific and methodological procedure for curriculum construction as the prerequisite of its quality.
