Abstract

The dilemma of sustainability is becoming the leading global guideline of world industry, including food production and packaging. Faced with new regulations to reduce single-use plastics, the need for environmentally friendly packaging is growing. Sustainability is a key element of any environmentally conscious business strategy, including the increasingly popular sustainable production of fish and seafood alongside the indispensable packaging sector. Some of the innovative solutions that reduce the amount of waste and impact on the environment and increase freshness and shelf life of fish are mentioned in
this paper.
