Economic Thought and Practice is a scientific periodical published twice a year by the University of Dubrovnik since 1992. The articles published in the periodical are related to the field of economic theory and practice, as well as the relevant papers from the related scientific fields. The publication of the periodical has been financially supported by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.

The papers published in the periodical have been referenced by the Journal of Economic Literature Pittsburgh since 1995, and since 1997 the Editorial Board has been international. The Editorial Board consists of ten members from Croatia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, UK and Italy. So far, more than 200 authors from Croatia have published their articles in the periodical and more than 50 authors from abroad. The papers are published in Croatian and English, but several papers have been published in German, French and Italian.
