Napredak: Journal for Interdisciplinary Research in Education is an interdisciplinary publication that has been consistently published in Zagreb since 1859. Prior to 1991, it was published under the title Pedagoški rad. Napredak publishes scholarly and expert papers authored by esteemed Croatian and foreign writers, alongside reviews, overviews, and other contributions. The topics pertain to research on education at various educational stages. The journal publishes pertinent papers (including original scientific papers, preliminary communications, reviews, and professional papers) that adhere to the criteria of scientific and artistic excellence. Publication is restricted to works that have undergone a double-blind review procedure and obtained a positive evaluation from both reviewers. Authors are exempt from any fees associated with submitting or publishing their work. Unrestricted access to all journal contents is granted, while still respecting copyright laws. Authors who choose to publish their work in Napredak maintain the copyright of their work, in line with the interpretation of open access suggested by the Creative Commons - CC BY-NC licencing system (refer to the Rights of Use). Articles are published in Croatian with an abstract in English, or on occasion, in English with an abstract in Croatian. The funding for the publication of Napredak is provided by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.
